A brand-new series of artisan pop-up markets is set to take place at Teesside Park, bringing a wave of creativity and community spirit to the area. Little Bird Made, a well-known organiser of artisan markets, has teamed up with Teesside Park to create a vibrant shopping experience that showcases local talent and independent businesses. This exciting initiative will feature four seasonal markets throughout 2026, allowing visitors to explore unique handmade products, enjoy live entertainment, and support small enterprises.

Market Details

The artisan markets will occur on the following dates in 2026:

  • Friday 7 August

  • Friday 4 September

  • Friday 30 October

  • Friday 4 December

Each market will run from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, transforming Teesside Park into a bustling hub for shoppers. Up to 30 carefully selected traders will offer a variety of artisan goods, including:

  • Handmade crafts

  • Fashion items

  • Homeware

  • Beauty products

  • Speciality food and drink

Supporting Local Talent

This collaboration aims to provide a platform for some of the North East’s most talented makers, artists, and food producers. By hosting these markets, Teesside Park will not only enhance its existing retail offerings but also create valuable opportunities for small businesses to connect with new customers in a high-traffic location.

Jackie Crozier, the Founder and Director of Little Bird Made, expressed her excitement about the launch, stating:

“We are incredibly excited to be launching this new series of pop-up markets at Teesside Park. Since 2008, Little Bird Made has been dedicated to creating opportunities for independent businesses to thrive.”

This new venture is set to highlight the importance of artisan markets in boosting local economies and fostering community connections.

Community Impact

Catherine Furlong, Centre Director at Teesside Park, echoed the enthusiasm:

We are delighted to be partnering with Little Bird Made to bring this exciting series of artisan markets to Teesside Park. These events will create a unique and engaging experience for our visitors while supporting small businesses and strengthening our connection with the local community.

This partnership aims to enrich the local culture and provide a fun outing for families, friends, and visitors alike.

How to Get Involved

For those interested in becoming traders at these markets, applications will officially open on 23 June 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for local makers and businesses to showcase their products in a vibrant setting. Applications can be submitted through the Little Bird Made website at www.littlebirdmade.com.

Local entrepreneur Natalie Deeley, the owner of The Kandlers Table, shared her thoughts on being part of this initiative: “Little Bird events have built such a fantastic reputation for championing independent businesses, so we’re absolutely delighted to be part of this exciting new venture at Teesside Park.” She highlighted how face-to-face interactions with customers help tell the stories behind their products, making the market experience even more special.
