Crammed with properly eclectic French furniture, antiques and ephemera. Overpriced in my opinion (hence 4, not 5 stars) but definitely worth a trip if that’s your vibe and you’re not on a budget. The on-site restorer and upholstery service would be a boon if you buy something too careworn!

I recently bought a gorgeous antique mirror from The French House Antiques and it’s absolutely stunning! Claire was amazing from start to finish, so patient, kind, professional, and clearly passionate about what she does. The whole experience was smooth and enjoyable. Everyone I dealt with was extremely friendly and helpful including the driver, taking real care with the delivery. I’d definitely shop here again! 🙏🏽🙏🏽❤️

A lovely rustic place with great stock of French furniture and other items sourced from France such as mirrors, lamps, drinking glasses, books, wine carriers etc. We called in today after a trip into York having previously heard about The French House Antiques a while ago but living about 2 hours away it wasn't somewhere we could just drop in. I'm glad we cut the York trip short to have a chance to call in as there's a warm welcome, plenty of parking and as mentioned, some lovely stock to browse. They're in the process of expanding their showroom further and there's lots of stock still in their warehouse in France apparently so if you're in the area I'd certainly recommend a visit both now and in the future. We'll be back.

The French House is wonderful. We purchased a Venetian mirror and the owner and a cabinet maker came round and installed it for free, all part of the service. It's a magical place where you can forget yourself and just enjoy looking at all the delightful antiques on display. We love it and highly recommend it to you.
