Excellent evening meal and look forward to our next visit. 5 people and only one complaint, the greens were a little undercooked. The staff were great and attentive, the bar is well stocked with variety. Eating in close proximity to a full bar was a bit hard to hear each other. Good to see a full bar though. Highly recommend the food, the staff, the atmosphere, definitely going back.
The Fox Inn is a traditional village free house. There is a wide variety of beers, lager and cider, including three hand pulled cask conditioned real ales. The cask ales were in very good condition on our visit and cheaper than the pubs in york. The staff are very welcoming there are no bar games, it is more of a food pub. There is a covered seating area behind the pub and outside seating at the front. the pub is dog friendly and there is a free car park.
Met a friend here for tea on Sat eve, really friendly staff who couldn't do enough for you and the food and drink was lovely. I had the salmon and my friend the fish pie. Will definitely return. The place was really busy too, good to see. Well done everyone at The Fox
We have just had Sunday lunch at the Fox and couldn't fault it. The new refurbishments are tasteful and the pub has maintained its cosy atmosphere. The food was delicious, generous and reasonably priced and the service was first class. This is a venue worth recommending
Been very excited for The Fox opening having had excellent meals at their other pubs. We had Sunday lunch and took our 18 month old granddaughter. The staff are really welcoming and attentive We all ordered Sunday lunch beef and it was super. Plenty of it, hot and tasty and with excellent gravy and the bonus of a ball of stuffing The pub has been refurbished to a lovely, warm and cosy standard. Thank you. Will highly recommend
