We are a motorhome. Great location, only 10 mins uber into york or Monks Cross to the park and ride, the walk to the park and ride is 45 minutes and it isn't suitable for children. Site staff were super friendly and helpful. Pitches are level and of a good size, facilities are clean and lots of them. There was an issue with a free voucher but it was sorted through the cmc app customer service and reception very quickly! Great site will be returning 👍
Had a wonderful stay 26th to 29th December. We arrived a little late due to traffic, but were welcomed in with holiday cheer. I didn't get the name of the staff couple, said they were covering the site for a few days. Both so very helpful and cheery! Immaculate facilities, large hardstanding pitches, nicely spaced out. I am certain we will visit again. If you are looking to explore York, a very easy uber ride into the city. Cost us around £10 each way. Thanks again a fab stay. Joanne and Piers 5 🌟
We stayed here for NYE and had a great time. Facilities are clean and kids play area is great to keep them busy. Wardens are friendly and gifted a couple of wine for NYE. We had a power cut the first night we stayed however we were kept up to date by the wardens and this was a grid issue not the site. We would happily stay here again
Second time we’ve visited this site. Easy to access, had a nice welcome upon arrival, and the site is well laid out. Facilities were plentiful, and well maintained. Only minor gripes for me, toilets closed 10.30 to 12.00 each day for cleaning, not very convenient for those who wish to use them at that time. Only one lot of bins, which are located by the site entrance, and a long walk if you’ve pitched in the other end of the site, would be nice to have various bins around site.
Great site with spacious pitches. Very friendly and helpful wardens. The sanitary facilities are in excellent condition and clean. There's a playground for the little ones and a play/football field for the older kids. Monks Cross Park & Ride, which offers a relaxed way to reach York city centre, is just a few minutes' drive away.
