I loved that they finished it by the time I was done shopping at the garden center. Plenty of good parking and easy access made it a breeze to drop off and pick up. I recently had a deeply disappointing experience with Handy Andy Car Wash at the Strikes Garden Centre in Stokesley. As a customer who values prompt and reliable service, I found the mismanagement and misinformation utterly unacceptable. First and foremost, the signage prominently displayed at the car wash advertises an opening time of 08:30. This early morning start is ideal for those of us who need our cars cleaned before heading to work. However, when I planned my visit accordingly, I was met with frustration and inconvenience. Upon arriving at 08:30, as indicated, I found the car wash still closed. After waiting for a considerable amount of time, I decided to call the owner directly. To my dismay, I was informed that they do not open until 09:00. When I pointed out the discrepancy between the signage and the information he provided, the owner dismissively responded that the staff must be "caught up in traffic." This excuse is not only flimsy but also demonstrates a severe lack of professionalism and reliability. Businesses must ensure that their advertised hours of operation are accurate and consistent. This lapse indicates either a disregard for customer time or poor management practices, neither of which are acceptable. Furthermore, the cavalier attitude of the owner when confronted with this issue was the final straw. As a paying customer, I expect honesty and accountability. Instead, I was met with excuses and a clear lack of interest in rectifying the problem. This experience has eroded my trust in Handy Andy Car Wash and their ability to provide a dependable service. In light of this, I will not be returning to any Handy Andy Car Wash locations in the area. I highly recommend that the company reevaluates its policies and operational procedures to ensure that customers are not misinformed or inconvenienced in the future. Consistency, honesty, and reliability are key to maintaining customer loyalty, and Handy Andy Car Wash currently falls short on all counts. Update 30 April 2025: I’ve used the hand car wash at Strikes Garden Centre in Stokesley before, but this recent visit was far from acceptable. On arrival, I parked away from the queue to avoid getting in the way and asked how long a mini valet would take. The response I received was not only abrupt but carried the tone of someone who was clearly irritated I’d even asked – as if I was an inconvenience. Not a good start. I handed over the keys and went into the garden centre, returning after the hour as advised. I paid the £40, expecting a decent job for the money. However, I drove to another part of the car park and took a video – and I’m glad I did, because what I saw was genuinely shocking. The boot hadn’t been hoovered properly (if at all), there were dirt marks still on various surfaces that could have easily been wiped down, and the overall finish was lazy at best. For £40, this level of service is unacceptable. It felt rushed, careless, and unprofessional. I won’t be taking my car back there again – and I’d advise others to think twice before handing over their hard-earned cash for a substandard job.

Absolutely excellent car wash and valet ,my car looks like new, the staff were professional and friendly went back after the hour return time and car was ready to go will definitely recommend to friends.

I hade a great experience.by the time I finished some shopping at the strike garden center my car was washed cleaned and dry I highly recommended them

Did a brilliant job on our car... Wheels were gleaming. Nice lads, pleasant & very well mannered. Been twice & just had the hand-wash but will be going again & will try the valet. Highly recommend!
