The cottage is the perfect bolthole for couples looking to stay somewhere special for a romantic weekend away, for those who wish to visit Robin Hoods Bay, Whitby and Scarborough which are all within a short drive, but escape the crowds at the end of the day, and for those looking for peace and tranquility and who enjoy being close to nature. Deer, rabbits, badgers and foxes all live in the vicinity of the cottage, and there is a seal colony on the beach at Ravenscar.

There are lovely walks close by on the Cinder Track, Cleveland Way, beach and moors and whatever time of year you choose to visit, the countryside around the cottage is beautiful, especially January to June when the yellow gorse is in bloom, in late August when the purple heather flowers on the moors and in the Autumn when all of the trees are laden with berries and the leaves begin to fall.

And, if you fancy doing nothing at all, you can just relax in the lounge or sit on the patio and watch the tide come in and the ships sail by, and at night you can see a wonderful star filled sky.
