Lovely walk, there is sheep about with their young so dog would need to be on lead very relaxing . Some really old trees which gives the walk a lovely feel .
Nice sized car park, although I can imagine it gets busy depending upon the hour. There was only one other car when we got there at 0600. Great place to walk the dogs if you are visiting the area or family/friends. Be mindful that the military uses this area for training purposes. Beautiful woodland area, which I would like to have explored a little more, maybe on my next visit to York.

Very handy for exploring the common. Bring your wellies/walking boots , we caught it late afternoon on a bright crispy day. It's like a different world . Most thought it was like the Serengeti! 😂👍
