Large, well kept deer park home to over 300 red, sika and fallow deer. Situated outside the gated grounds of Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal Water Gardens, this park is a lovely place for a walk, with the opportunity to see some animals that will please the whole family. Within the park is St Mary's Church, one of the finest Victorian Gothic Revival churches in the United Kingdom, open between 13:00 and 15:30 from April to October. Seven Bridges Valley offers an interesting little walk, descending through a small but scenic valley with rocky cliffs in places. If visiting just the deer park for a walk, parking charges are expensive as they're based around timings that are much longer than is required. If also visiting Fountains Abbey and the water gardens (£21.00 for adults, but free for National Trust and English Heritage members), they make more sense, as there's enough to occupy a full day exploring the whole site. The paid National Trust site has comprehensive visitor facilities, including a café and toilets just within the grounds.

A beautiful place we had a lovely walk and picnic. It was amazing to be back in touch with nature and to see deer up close and just to watch and respect them, I've loved this place since I was a kid, now I can share it with those I care about.

A great expansive area to wander round and it would be easy to spend a whole day exploring all the sights. The car parking charges are fixed so can be a little steep if you are only wanting to spend an hour on a short walk, but there’s plenty of space available during busy times. Lots of great wildlife to admire and clearly marked paths make it a real asset in the area - well worth checking out.

Beautiful large park with red deer and roe deer. A wide lake with Swans and geese. Great place for a day's out. Many car parks, some you need to pay for, some you don't. Not many toilet spots or food spots so best to bring a packed lunch! Would be going there again!
