Never went in so can't comment on food or service, the atmosphere however was picked up from the outside. Paper signs on the windows; No dogs and one that may as well said, keep children on leads. And a poorly hand painted sign: Locals Local. All of which tell me to stay out so I did. On walking past it again around half 9 it was literally empty. I wonder why?
Beautiful old hotel rooms in a courtyard setting good size with a great shower, owner is the Chef very french and great food!, Parking for motorbikes outside the rooms, brilliant
Ground zero pub for Sam Smiths ales in the brewery town of Tadcaster. The locals local.
Lovely pub with lovely staff. Large free parking area next to it and sparkling fresh toilet facilities with wheelchair access. All the beer is Sam Smith's and very nice too. Only a few minutes walk from a beautiful Riverside and Weir with ample seating.
Always enjoy our annual visit here. Good landlady. Keeps the place in check. Only shame is the decor, which the owners have not changed for years.
