Springwood Lodges

We have just come back from spending 3 wonderful nights at the Skovarel Lodge. It was so easy to feel at home here! Lots of lovely little cosy touches. The log burner was our favourite highlight, you are given a generous supply of wood to get you going but you will need to bring a bag or two and some kindling with you. The bottle of wine in the fridge was a lovely touch and much needed after a 4 hour drive! The bed is very comfy and you will have no issue getting a peaceful nights sleep thanks to the remote location and sheer tranquility of your surroundings! Brimham Rocks is a 40 minute walk up the hill and well worth a visit. Knaresborough is a 20 minute drive away and I recommend a trip there for the Viaduct alone! Very picturesque. The lodge was very welcoming and had everything you need! Great selection of DVDS and even a pack of cards and great little TV quiz game. This was a hard place to leave come checkout and we spent little time in the car before we discussed when we would be returning. Thank you so much for doing everything you can to make this a real home from home. We share your love for your lodges :)

From arriving, the place felt so relaxing. Love how quiet it is as the cabins are a good distance from each other so feels private. Hot tub was lovely. Never got round to using the sauna as we were too in to watching the birds. I had a nice walk round the woodland. Caught a glimpse of a deer. Everything you need in the cabin and found the bed very comfortable . Our one minor issue was my husband hit his head on the slope of the roof. We read the signs but needs some light at the corner as it was hard to see in the dark. We don't feel this needs to lose a star as something can possibly be done. We are looking to book again a couple of times next year. This is now one of our favourite places. I have already told another 3 people about Springwood.

All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay the hot tub and sauna were so relaxing, the choice of DVDs and games were very good also. There’s plenty of things to do in the area as well The only things we noticed were; - the spiders in every room (there were about 3 in our bedroom which if you don’t like them is not very comfortable) - the smell of the cabin in general wasn’t very nice - the oven seemed as though it was not cleaned very well as our food we had made in there didn’t taste very nice (there is a very nice pizza shop about 10 mins away luckily) - some of the jets in the hot tub were missing/not working. maybe we are just picky but they bothered us a lot causing us to leave a night early! But we did enjoy the peace and seeing the birds and squirrels come and go, we spend most of our days out in the local area going on walks and exploring which was lovely.

A fantastic place to relax, everything catered for private drive way, private hot tub and sauna built into the lodge very cosy away from it all. Surrounded by secluded woods and forest great for walks. Then lots of quaint little villages and towns. Driving in and around the area is a must just for the scenery alone.

WONDERFUL ... I loved my stay here over Christmas so much that I've booked it again for 2018 .. Peaceful. Quite ... Just wonderful.... Here again Christmas 2018. If you want peace and quite this place is perfect for you. Been here a week and seen no one just birds a woodpecker. Squirrel.. I love this place hot tub sauna..
