We have lived here for over 14 years, great little shop, but buying anything in there is a hassle as there are NO prices, I just got ripped off for £14.95 for cheap bottle of wine and 1 bottle of beer, should have driven to wheldrake
Bare little shop ,with everything at least a quid dearer than anywhere north of london,ie£2.70 for a small pork pie,( local butcher is £ 1.25.i know its rural(ish) but no need to rip folk off, its cheaper in the middle of york...go anywhere else ,with the extra fuel, itl still b cheaper
Really honest young man and loved his customer service. It's local shop and mostly everything can be found here. From bread, milk, fizzy drinks, chocolates, fresh cook pies etc. Some cooked pies are not halal.
The owner is a lovely man. More than happy for you to park outside his shop if you are using the pub or village hall, and he will keep an eye on your car for you.
When doing a big ride and you can’t find anything for miles this cool little village shop with friendly staff is a lifesaver, a refreshing change from all the corporate markets you get in big towns and cities. It’s like going back in time here and for all the best reasons.
