Actually sat upstairs today. As nice as everywhere else in this lovely place. Half and half, total value for money, and a delicious chocolate cake. Had to take a piece of Xmas cake home. Just had it with a cup of tea. Wish I had got two pieces 🤣 Have a lovely Xmas girls and see you in 2026. X
I have just come back from a wonderful lunch at Lisa’s. We had 3 adults and 2 babies. The staff were so welcoming and generally wonderful. Two of us had the special - a giant Yorkshire pudding pork lunch, one had tuna melt with soup. All round great atmosphere.
We had just been to the swimming pool over the road and were ready to chew our own arms off when we spotted Lisa’s Tea Room just over the road. What a place! I can see why people wish they lived closer. I do. I had their ‘half and half’ soup (carrot, butternut squash and bacon) and doorstop sandwich (beef and horseradish) and it was all so delicious, as was my hubby’s baked potato with coronation chicken. We washed it down with a big pot of Earl Grey tea. Gorgeous food and very friendly and efficient service. We’ll be back when we’re next in the area. It’s a gem!
Lovely tea room/coffee shop just off the main street near Riley Hall... Stopped for late breakfast here. The staff were very efficient and friendly. Got seated upstairs in a lovely room and had crumpets and tea. Delicious, we will be back.
We booked afternoon tea partly on the menu on the website which is out of date on food options and price. Overall the food was tasty and cakes were aplenty !!...Each tray has 6 finger sandwiches and 4x sweet cakes of various types. We have not had afternoon tea before at Lisas, and each tray at £22 which is more than ample for 2 persons. We ordered 1 for each person - i admit it was too much and we were offered take away boxes which was helpful and ended up taking a lot home. A few points for future bookings I may suggest are; - I would ask customers on pre-booking and/or ordering what ages are eating; - advising what is on each plate before allowing orders to be made up; - i personally would highlight 1 plate per 2 persons on most occasions is initally advised. Also alongside I would suggest maybe more than 1 drink to be included per tray ... 😁
