We bought a house in Tadcaster through Wisharts and found them to be very kind and helpful. Unfortunately, I lost my partner 2 weeks after moving in and even then one of their agents came to my partners funeral. Two years on, I asked them for an evaluation of the property, which they did professionally and then 2 weeks on, after going to great lengths to explain my situation, they send me an automated letter, hoping that both myself and my late partner had had a good couple of years in the property! I lose my partner and they write to me asking if I'd had a good couple of years, when they had been told, on more than one occasion, how my life had completely changed because what I thought was going to be my forever home was having to be sold, due to my partners will being implemented. What an uncaring, ignorant company that doesn't deserve to be in business. A chain is as strong as its weakest link and the chain of this company must have broken a long time ago.

Excellent! estate agents very professional, friendly, helpful and extremely informative about the house we have now bought. As the process of our house purchase began Alison of Wisharts actively liaised between all parties their clients, both solicitors, plus ourselves. This helped to keep the process moving smoothly. A big thank you to the Wisharts Team. Oh and the bottle of welcome wine that greeted us was delicious!

I would thoroughly recommend Wishart Estate Agents. We didn't buy or sell through Wisharts, but they were involved in the chain of our property when we sold some months ago. After things stalled and neither our selling or purchasing agents were providing us with a great deal of information about the chain, I reached out to Wisharts. They were under absolutely no obligation to provide us with any detail, but Alison went above and beyond and gave us more detail about the situation of our chain in a 20 minute conversation than we managed to get from our own agents in months. We firmly believe that Alison was the driving force in keeping all agents updated, and was the only one proactively chasing other agents and solicitors. People often forget that marketing and negotiating an offer the property is only one small part of the process, and the challenges (and stress) usually present during the sales progression process. Alison made us feel like she was invested in the chain and would work towards ensuring it did not collapse. Unfortunately, our selling and purchasing agents did not display the same attitude. We don't plan to move again, but will be recommending Wisharts to anyone locally, as they stood out head and shoulders above all other agents in the area (those covering Boston Spa). My advice - don't automatically go for an LS23 agent. Tadcaster is the same distance from Boston Spa as Wetherby so don't overlook Wisharts - they are a rare gem in the estate agency world.

I have neither sold or purchased with team Wishart. I have, however, regularly reached out to Lucy as a trusted professional for advice for myself or on behalf of our clients. The quality of the advice I have received from Wishart over the years has been invaluable. They are extremely knowledgeable, experts in their field and you will always get honest advice. When my daughter told us she wanted a career in high end residential property, I immediately reached out to Lucy as I knew her team would provide a great environment for her to thrive in her work experience. They didn’t disappoint, my daughter never felt that she was a burden. They gave her clear direction along with a little ownership of some task and shared so much of their time and experience with her that she is now absolutely certain this is the career for her. I continue to recommend Wishart and would hesitate to instruct them in the sale of my property.
