Meadowside House Filey

Lovely house in great location! We stayed for a long weekend over the Easter bank holiday and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house easily accommodated 2 families with 4 young kids and a dog, with ample beds and always being warm and cozy with lots of hot water. The kitchen was well equipped enabling us to cook a lamb roast for 8 people and the dining table sat all us all comfortably. There is a small courtyard enclosed between a few of the properties immediately outside the French doors in the kitchen/lounge where the kids played football and we were able to keep an eye on them. We also played boules (provided by the house) and badminton there. The property is in walking distance to the pub, leisure facilities and pizza restaurant but the greatest asset has to be the long stretch of sandy beach; truly beautiful! The owner was also keen to ensure we had a great stay and helped out proficiently with any queries and provided info of local events. All positives with our stay!

Had a fantastic weekend here. The house is beautiful and really well-equipped. It was lovely coming back to it after being out all day. The beach is a short stroll away and there is also a pub and restaurant nearby. You also get access to a swimming pool with a steam room and a sauna which was great on a rainy afternoon.

A group of five friends on a last minute winter, seaside break. The house is accurately described in its literature. In addition, it was super warm and comfortable and had everything we needed to make the most of our time away. Plenty of equipment for cooking hearty meals after days in the wintry sunshine and a Netflix account for some evening films. The house is very well laid out with a sitting room area close to the cook and a dining table to comfortably seat 8-10 people. The vibe is modern, bright and laid back and the house is set in generous grounds with plenty of light and views. The Bay has close beach access and you can safely walk on to the sand in 5-10 minutes, without going back on to the main road. The Bay was quiet while we were there, but not deserted and with all amenities open, including restaurant, shop and leisure centre. As a much appreciated bonus, the owner was quickly able to answer any questions and had literally anticipated our every need. Highly recommended.

A great place to stay on a beautiful stretch of the coast. Meadowside House has everything you need including the most comfortable sofas! The sauna and steam room at The Bay are also a bonus!

fantastic little escape from The day To day life. The cottage comes with fully stocked amenitys and the owner has clearly went above and Beyond. I would reccomend This stay to anyone, especially Those with furry friends.
