Great play area, clean and tidy, a large variety of play equipment spread out. Enclosed by a 6foot fence with gated entrances only on one side so easy to keep an eye on where the kids are. Different recycling bins inside which is a great idea getting kids to sort recyclables from a young age. No dogs allowed in the park bit there is a large grassed area on the opposite side to the entrance where they can be exercised with plenty of bins around.
My daughter loves this park, 10 years old, we always have to call in when walking from Sowerby to Thirsk. Section for smaller children as well. Has a zip line, slides, climbing frames, swings, etc. Decent sized park with benches / picnic tables.
My four children thoroughly enjoyed this park. They are aged 10, 9, and 7 years and 18 months old. There was something there for them all to play on and enjoy and have requested for us to revisit it during our stay in Thirsk.
Well maintained good place for grand children to play. Tidied up and trimmed the bushes. Side tracks now trimmed notice the sign says no commercial vehicles or caravans. People wanting to do sports after work must feel they are being restricted. No overnight parking or a 2 HR parking limit would allow for all needs.
Got all you need for some fun, for all ages from 1 to 101 (don't come as an adult without accompanying a child - duh)! Beatiful green surroundings, very close to town centre, gorgeous views of Sutton Bank. No toilet but as I say, town is close.
