I'd usually head into the centre of Thirsk and have a Wetherspoons breakfast but did a quick Google search and came across the Gavel Cafe. Large breakfast (three bacon, sausage, two eggs, beans, mushrooms, toast) was huge and probably one of the only times I couldn't clear my plate. Breakfast and large coffee came to only £8.75, which must be better valve than Spoons. The cherry on the top is it's dog friendly. Don't know if this place has recently opened or I've just missed it but I'll definitely be back.
Absolute gem of a place. Had 3 nights stay in nearby Cowesby and found this on Google! Had 2 breakfasts and was outstanding quality, service so nice and friendly ladies our 2 dogs made very welcome!! We will be back l
Exceptional value for money and quality ingredients. Had steak pie followed by apple crumble. Great place, easy to park, friendly helpful staff with dog friendly bonus.
