The Golden Fleece Hotel

We recently celebrated a 60th birthday with a family meal at The Golden Fleece Hotel in Thirsk, and it was absolutely fantastic. The food was delicious, beautifully presented, and enjoyed by everyone. The service throughout was attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. What really stood out was the flexibility and support from the staff and management. They went out of their way to accommodate our special requirements, making the whole experience smooth and memorable. It’s rare to find a venue that combines great food with such thoughtful hospitality. A heartfelt thank-you to the entire team at The Golden Fleece — you helped make a special occasion truly unforgettable. Highly recommended for anyone planning a celebration or simply looking for a great place to dine.

It was our xmas party for the Triumph owner club - great get together in a fab venue. Very plesant staff that were attentive & made the diner a pleasure. Food was excellent - only moan - no green stuff required on the pudding - cress like styff but not a biggy to remove . Thakyou for making it a wonderful afternoon with my fellow biker friends. Highly recommend this place for coffee & cake to a full dining experence.

While staying in Thirsk for a couple of days we tried the Golden Fleece for coffee and a cake in the morning, then went back for lunch. The hotel is clean and welcoming and the food was excellent. Isabel was so lovely and provided brilliant service. Highly recommend.

STAY. We absolutely love staying here. Every time we stay at a Coaching Inn, the staff can't do enough for us. I'm having my birthday here, and wouldn't be anywhere else. I always feel confident that my accommodation is clean, tidy, and well maintained. Good food and plenty of choice. Happy and friendly people. 5*****

The service team were really helpful, especially Jordon who carried our case up 2 flights of stairs & was very welcoming, friendly & very efficient. Summer who served us at dinner was helpful making suggestions from the menu that were perfect. Both of these employees were a credit to the management of the hotel .
