I visited this shop today 16th July whilst on holiday in the area. What a pleasurable shopping experience I received. Firstly I was welcomed by the gentleman owner in a warm and friendly way. I was treated as a valued individual not just a number. Once in the shop two young ladies also spoke to me very politely. The owner then told me that they were on work experience. These ladies were a credit to their families and the shop. I saw a pair of Remote trainers which are a brand that I love however they were in a colour that I have. The owner then showed me a pair in a different colour which were not in the sale however advised me that he would be prepared to offer them to me at the sale price. A very kind and thoughtfull jesture. The young lady went and brought me the shoes out opening them up for me to try on. She then zipped them up and tied the laces. This was good old fashioned traditional customer service. I really appreciated that. I bought the trainers and was delighted with the traditional service, my great quality product and the gentleman owner and his two delightfull work experience ladies who had obviously been trained to a high standard and not pushy whatsoever. The price was an added bonus too. I will be returning in the near future when I'm in the area and I would definately recomend. Many Thanks.

If you want to buy a quality pair of shoes from someone who knows their products well this is the place to go. My mother-in-law and I visited the shop whilst on holiday in Thirsk and both bought a pair of shoes. Lots of quality footwear and an absolutely delightful owner. If I'm ever in Thirsk again I'll definitely be back.

Always a pleasure to visit, bought some lovely patent ankle boots, fabulous service as usual from the lady, my mum got 2 pairs of boots too. We often have a treat together when we visit you. 🙌 look forward to the next visit

I’ve been to the shop twice, both times the saleswoman was very helpful and very knowledgeable about the stock, and able to find shoes for my difficult-to-fit feet.
