The best greengrocers we’ve visited! We had a short stay in Thirsk and ended up visiting both days we were there. Very reasonably priced, with fruit that was absolutely delicious. The kids enjoyed it so much they ate it without us even having to persuade them! Wish we didn’t live over an hours drive away!
Absolutely first class greengrocer. Well displayed produce and good value for money. Service is good and fast and the team knows their produce. Smiles are abundant (always good). I now do all my veggie shopping here and it's a pleasure to drive that little bit further to get great service and produce. The only negative, if a negative could be found, is actually nothing to do with this gem of a shop? It's actually the parking which can be a little hit and miss in the market square. There is plenty of parking around though but if you like to park near the shop itself expect a bit of hunting: worth it all the same. Definitely recommend for all your veggie needs including herbs, relishes and jams/honey and some tinned goods and eggs. Bravo and yum yum!
Broke a journey (from the A19) in Thirsk to try and get a specialist product that a website said they stocked here. It was not available here, which is fine, but the 'welcome' I got in the shop was terrible. Two young girls chatting to each other at the till, not in the slightest bit interested in customers, and when the owner was asked if they stocked the item the response was very abrupt. Not a pleasant customer experience at all
Look this is a really good greengrocers but why I'm giving a 3 star is simply because none of the fruits outside are covered, mind boggling to not realise that they should be as there is always flies landing on them and bee's! People hand picking up the likes of the cherries etc so there should be something to scoop them up and place them in the bag's provided, what I done was turned a bag inside out and grabbed a handful from the back. Please Please come it's common sense and these day's I should not be seeing flies that land on the fruits I would like to eat. Do your research and see what flies actually do when they land on food. Good selection but thoughtless owners if they allow this.
This is my favorite spot for fresh fruit and veg. The quality is outstanding, and the staff are always helpful. Highly recommend!
