The yurts were really nice. Beds were comfortable, tea, cutlery, plates all provided. We had fire wood and marshmallows as well, my son loved building a fire and toasting marshmallows. The toilet and showers are separate from the tent but were well equipped and very clean. Unfortunately it was very windy and raining which meant our youngest didn't sleep so we only ended up staying one night instead of two, but obviously that's no fault of Thirsk hall. My son loved the wheelbarrows to help carry our luggage and him, to the yurt. Thirsk is only a short walk or 2 minute drive from site as well so location itself excellent.
We stayed here for a weekend and had the most wonderful time. The tent was incredibly comfortable, we slept so well. The site is in the most lovely walled garden and you can easily walk into Thirsk where there is loads to do. Overall a fantastic weekend, we'll definitely be back!
We took both our kids glamping for the first time. The site is really well set out and you feel secluded and away from Thirsk even though it’s only a 10 minute walk to the centre. Beds were comfy and good showers. Don’t forget to take eye masks for kids!
This was my first experience of glamping and I wasn't disappointed. Very spacious tent that also felt cosy, with some very thoughtful touches.. fairy lights, a towel rail and USB charging. Beds were very comfortable and shower/ toilet facilities excellent. Felt like you were outside in the countryside, but then you were only a 5 min walk from the beautiful town of Thirsk and a big tescos.
We had such a fab stay glamping within the grounds of Thirsk Hall. The Bell Tents are extremely spacious, very comfortable and decorated beautifully for a really cosy stay ! Our dog loved exploring the large enclosed walled garden that the tents are contained in and the village of Thirsk is a 5 mins walk away and has everything you need for a great weekend away. Lots of amazing dog walks and lakes nearby to explore. Hosts were super friendly and accommodating- thank you so much!
