White Horse Lodge Hotel,

Beautiful location, great access to Thirsk,very clean and tidy, great parking. Did not appreciate filling in the form after long journey, should be done on line before. Also was charged £20 extra for my dog, but I rang in advance and secured a dog friendly room ,but no mention of extra fee. But room money was taken in advance. The room carpet needs replacing, it was grubby. The breakfast is not great .over cooked and greasy. Please improve, Mark and Karen

Clearly the owners are not doing anything to improve the hotel after reading other reviews. Same experience on an over night stay with water pressure, bathrooms,old saggy beds, reception staff. Thank fully only stopped 1 night but until improvements are made it will stay as is. At half the price it's not value for money. Can't see them trading this time next year. Sad really as nice looking hotel from the outside.

Lovely hotel lovely location Rooms are average Not disabled friendly No rail to get up.the steps to.the room Small and compact bathroom Shower needs to be a walk in as there is a big step to get into the shower if on the larger side you won't get in at all. Windows you can't close properly as you have to lift the window up.a bit to close it and it does close fully so road noise all night Curtains need to be refitted as tge sun floods into the room from the sides waking you up early Shaving light doesn't work at all in the bathroom Light in room needs to be addressed with brighter lights Mirror in the room could do with lower a bit especially if you are not very tall Holes in the wall by the bed rest Light by the bed is lower then normal and can easily be turned on in your sleep Mattress needs replacing dip is appearing showing its really well used. Lights and rail is need where there are steps to get to rooms More staff is needed at peak times as there is 1 person doing everything. Staff who did breakfast don't understand English Staff doing the cleaning no wet floor signs were on display when is a hazard The hotel is dog friendly Not wheelchair friendly

Spent a very pleasant evening in this hotel room was very clean beds very comfortable nice friendly staff great prices located just a short drive from vibrant thirsk as to be said its a very busy road the hotel is located care and attention needed when leaving hotel delightful country location we had breakfast for£10 full English plus toast etc ect and lashings of coffee can heartily recommend

Stayed one night. Brook and Pip excellent members of staff. Went over and above. We got a really good rate but on trying to rebook, the rate had doubled due to a race meeting in Thirsk. Shame as was really good location etc. Hopefully better rates nxt time we try to book as will be coming to the area more frequently over nxt few months.
