About Rural Arts

Description

Rural Arts North Yorkshire is an arts charity based at the Old Courthouse in Thirsk. We provide an extensive outreach programme of taster sessions, workshops, courses and projects in visual and performing arts across the whole of the County.

The artists delivering our programme are all highly trained and experienced in teaching, encouraging and motivating.

We work with all sectors of the community including schools, youth clubs, parent and child groups, special needs groups, older persons and intergenerational community groups. Our programme is offered at all levels from beginners through to advanced and for any length of time from a couple of hours through to extensive projects that are carried out over several months. For each session our artists will bring all materials and equipment required.

In addition to running workshops Rural Arts can also help you to find the funding for your activity.

A good community resource for meetings, events and for use by local businesses. I saw a Barclay's bank banner, I assume they meet customers from there too.

Lovely soup. Well worth trying as a cafe and then you get all the art as well.
