Description

Thoralby quietly nestles close to Aysgarth Falls at the foot of the glaciated valley of Bishopdale just before it joins Wensleydale. One of the special gems of the Yorkshire Dales, it is surrounded by ancient byways and footpaths, all brim full of wildlife.

Situated in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, there is easy access to all parts of the Dales by car, whilst an extensive network of footpaths fan out directly from the village itself. Unusually, the main Dales thoroughfares skirt around the village and leave it with an unrivalled air of peace and tranquility. It retains the characteristics of an active agricultural community, unspoiled by excessive tourism. The local pub, shop and village green add to its charm.

Meadowcroft is an extremely comfortable conversion of the central part of a large Dales barn. A short 200-metre walk takes you to the village centre. To take advantage of the outstanding views in all directions, the living area is on the upper floor, whilst the two bedrooms and bathroom are at ground level. Extensive facilities are provided to full VisitBritain 'Four Star' level, the kitchen being able to provide everything from a simple snack to a gourmet meal and the bathroom fittings being of 'executive' standard. The cottage is an 'all-electric' property.

A garage plus a single open area provide secure parking and cycle storage, completely off-road and adjacent to the private paddock area. SMOKING IS NOT ALLOWED anywhere in the property and a maximum of five people can be accommodated.
