Very impressed. Out doing streets for city strides and found this gem. Realistic prices, great menu, nice atmosphere and very friendly staff. Only had wraps but they were delicious, spicy (which is good. Too many places wimp out on spice) and very tasty.

Table of 8 on a Saturday night. The place was really rammed. Lots of people sat in the entrance hall. Staff were all lovely but clearly very busy. They took 8 people’s orders for starters, drinks and mains. They didn’t get a single thing wrong. The food was absolutely amazing. Best parmos in north east I won’t go anywhere else now. Only a few points to improve/change: The menu font is really small and with the lighting you can barely see the menu. It’s frustrating when you’re trying to pick what you want. The music in the place was too loud. I had to really raise my voice so the person sat directly opposite me could hear me - that’s how loud it was. They just need to lower the music slightly. It was more like roudy pub pre-nightclub kind of vibe not restaurant vibe. Temperature - it was uncomfortably warm in there. Not good when you’re eating; from the minute I walked in the place it was just uncomfortable. They did eventually turn the aircon on just as we were leaving. I’ve knocked off a star for the atmosphere issues (temperature and music). But the staff were all really lovely. Professional, efficient and did everything right. Nice place will come again; maybe not on a busy Saturday. Want to try their Sunday roasts next I hear they are good.

⭐️ 1 Star – Birthday Ruined by Rude Staff & Zero Effort We booked a table for three people at Manjaros Ingleby Barwick for a birthday lunch. When we booked, we asked for an extra bunch of flowers and a birthday card on the table and said we would pay for it. They agreed and noted it. When we arrived, there was nothing at all—no flowers, no card, not even an acknowledgment. It was obvious they didn’t bother or care. Even though we clearly said it was a birthday booking, they sat us at the worst possible table in the restaurant. The place was almost empty, but when we asked politely if we could move to a different table, the staff just said “No” without any explanation. The attitude was cold, unhelpful, and honestly disrespectful. It felt like we were an inconvenience to them. The Sunday menu was another disappointment. It’s completely different from their regular menu and has very limited options, almost like they cut corners to do the bare minimum. If you actually want to enjoy your meal or have choices, Sunday is clearly not the day to go. We will never go back, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, especially for special occasions. They don’t listen, they don’t care, and they don’t deliver what they promise.

We were out for a drive at tea time tonight, and called in on the off chance, we asked for a table for 2, we could see how busy they were, so didnt think it was likely. We were welcomed in and given a seat. Everything was great, the food, the service, the atmosphere etc and they were all very busy but nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend.
