Turned up at 2.25pm - advised they closed at 3pm....not a problem just wanted 2 coffees and cake.. We were the only ones stood waiting to be served. We actually were sat down for 18 minutes before our drinks arrived.. Got 2 cakes - 1 of which I couldn't even cut with a knife and fork it was so stale. Staff offered to warm it in the microwave which made it at least soft.. ... Nuked back to edible... Get served in a busier well known coffee place quicker than that. Sadly won't be back.
Been in here a few times recently and it is my new favourite coffee place! Staff are always friendly, especially Lydia, she even recognises my wife and I now! 🤣 The coffee and cakes are lovely and excellent quality. We got served by Semena today and she was lovely and offered to warm the almond milk which is always a nice touch! Really nice environment, always clean and cosy. Easy parking right outside.
Often busy at lunchtime being a good place to meet, talk and have a snack ( bum, cake, biscuit, sandwich) in the center of thornaby. Generic atomphere of a cafe, convenient location near to shops and two supermarkets.
A really lovely coffee shop, perfect for a catch-up with friends. Everything is so reasonably priced and they cater for dietary requirements including gluten free cakes and snacks. I love the hot chocolate from here too.
My wife and I went in for a sandwich and some tea and coffee. It was approaching 3pm, so we weren’t expecting much. We were met by a lovely young woman called Samina who served us with a smile and, even though she was on her own and cleaning tables she quickly came over to the counter and took our order. We weren’t waiting long when our order arrived at our table. Everything was spot on and Samina was still smiling. We were there until just before closing time and when we went to pay our bill she was still smiling and we had a very pleasant conversation. Will we be back? Definitely! We were treated exceptionally well. One small additional point. The music being played in the cafe was just what the atmosphere needed. Relaxing and not bursting your eardrums. Five stars all round. Thanks for how you served us. Oh, and it’s dog friendly. A big plus as far as we’re concerned 👍👍
