Walked in tonight to see if borges food was still as good as it used to be as had heard a few negative things recently. I was blown away, the food was as good as if not better than ever. Ordered the hot shot parmo which was a generous size, the chips were crispy outside and nice and soft inside. Everything tasted nice and the parmo had the perfect amount of cheese, bechemel sauce and toppings to make it perfect. One of the best ive had. We also ordered a started off garlic mushrooms which were unreal. Tasted fresh and really nice. Came out fast too whilst we waited for our mains. The American burger was perfect the pulled pork was cooked to perfection and the beef tender and tasty. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone.
Best Parmo in the world and service to match, the food is always fresh and delicious. The staff and owner make you feel very welcome and are always accommodating. One of the best Italian restaurants in the North East of not the best
Went to borges for my birthday, it was horrible would never go back, food tasted like it was just defrosted out of a packet, the odd bits that were freshly cooked were way over seasoned and under cooked. From a group of 6 ranging between a 5 year old and 35 year old, every single one of us were disappointed.
Saturday evening at 7pm. I am going to Borge after a friend’s recommendation and I ask for a table for one, as I am on my own. It was quite busy, being Saturday but there were empty tables. The lady goes to check where to sit me and she returns 20 seconds later telling me that they do not have availability. The official reason is that they are busy! What I told her that it was really impolite not having me as a customer because I am one person, and choosing a group of three women over me. That is disgraceful, hence why I am giving one star and making sure I share my experience with you all. End up going to another amazing place down the road from them.
First time visit with my repeating customer girlfriend. I was thoroughly impressed with Borge's staff, service and food. I can see why they have been awarded best parmos, it was fantastic and my partner was able to bring her left over half home after. Very good value for money, brilliant service, prompt and fast, friendly, fresh and tasy food. Chicken still moist, thick sauce, beautiful home made food.
