The best take away food for in thornaby. By a long way. Nobody else gets close
I had a chicken Madras two nights ago with a keama nan and I can honestly said. It was tge best curry I had ever tasted. Yes I've had average curry from Sultans but on this occasion I would have given the chef a 10/10 for the meal and the brief conversation we had. I would have happily paid more if I had this in a restaurant. Thank you guys Pete
Last night, I decided to treat myself to a takeaway from Sultan Indian in Thornaby, and I must say, I was not disappointed. Opting for a lamb madras, I was impressed by its authenticity and the rich layers of flavor that greeted me with each bite. Although I personally would have preferred a bit more spice, it still easily ranks as one of the best madras dishes I've had, deserving a solid 9.5/10. The staff at Sultan are commendable; they exude warmth and friendliness whenever you step inside. Their customer service extends to their delivery as well, which for me, has always been on time. The delivery driver is always smiling, enhancing the overall experience. If you're in Thornaby and craving Indian cuisine, Sultan Indian Takeaway should definitely be on your list. Excellent food coupled with stellar service - they've got you covered!
We placed a £40 order with Sultans Thornaby, as we have multiple times before through there website, after 90 minutes waiting we contacted them, they said it will be five minutes.. Another 20 minutes we contacted them again, they said they haven't had an order for us, although they took the £40 from the bank already, refused a refund and refused to send us food. Never again will I use this takeaway, and I will tell everybody I know not to use them, disgusting customer service, put the phone down on us 3 times, but they still have our money and we have no food. I wouldn't bother if I was you.. zero rating... just to update it's now 3 days later, still no refund, or an apology from Sultans. Update. Its now 3 weeks since ordering, and paying for food that we never recieved. Tried to contact Sultans numerous times, still no refund, no explanation. Avoid...
Usually swear by this place and have frequently ordered for a long time. In recent orders the quality has been erratic today when choosing to complain we were informed it's due to a change of chef. Will not be returning again after such a poor quality meal, new chef needs to improve quickly or can see him driving away business in herds. An hour and 40 mins for a meal of pure disappointment.
