I've been here twice and the food on both occasions was quite good. The cafe itself is very tiny and only fits between 10-20 people so it can feel quite cramped in here at times. It is definitely somewhere I would recommend for breakfast.

Took shelter from a torrential downpour on a Saturday lunchtime in this lovely little cafe. Tucked down an alley off Stockton High Street it is very easy to miss, but I'm glad we found it. Staff were lovely and friendly and the cafe was very clean and tidy. It was very busy when we went in but we didn't have to wait long for our food. I ordered the Roast Chicken Dinner, and it was delicious with a good selection of veg, buttery mash and lashings of gravy just how I like it. I will definitely be back.

Beautiful little cafe with friendly staff. However food was a complete let down. The braised beef dinner was very bland all in all. Poor mash, huge lumps of starchy mash where potatoes weren't cooked enough. Vegetables were dull and watery. And topped off with instant gravy. This would be somewhat acceptable for an elderly with a soft diet. But certainly not a tasty meal. The breakfast was presented lovely. Hash browns and tomatoes were lovely. But ingredients used where cheap and basic. Sausages really weren't good at all. And beans were dried out a little. Seeing out back that the majority of food was being heated by a couple of microwaves tells me food isn't made fresh. For a kitchen so small, that menu is far too big for anything to be made fresh. Lovely little venue though. But definitely not worth £20 for 2 meals and 2 drinks.
