I recently visited Halifax to open an account for my son, and I can’t praise Jess enough for her outstanding service. She went above and beyond to ensure everything was sorted, answering all my queries with patience and professionalism. Jess was incredibly friendly throughout and even stayed late to make sure everything was completed smoothly. The level of care she showed is rare nowadays, and I left feeling truly valued as a customer. Thank you so much, Jess, for your help—you’re a credit to Halifax!
Staff member Sally caused a major scene over absolutely nothing, just to be awkward. Took my daughter in to deposit £100.00. I set the account up with her, as I’m also with Halifax and transfer money to her account from mine. Daughter doesn’t like putting the card in the machine to deposit money, so always gives it to me to do. Sally seen me openly hand my daughter the card back after depositing £100.00. Waiting for the receipt, she then pipes up “is that not your card” ??? I said no, it’s my daughters, she always asks me to do it. Sally then pressed CANCEL on the transaction just to be awkward. We had bags of shopping next to us. She told us to use the machine in the entrance to do it instead. The other staff all gathered like a pack of wolves not knowing what had actually happened. No apology. Said something about freezing my kids account. Deposited the money easily enough in post office a few doors down. We will be back this week with my daughter’s passport to transfer the £4,000 Hallifax have over to Virgin. Disgusting treatment of customers. They were quite rude to my father also when opening the account initially. Wouldn’t acknowledge him. Go elsewhere. Never ever had this before when I’ve been putting money into my daughter’s account for her. Best of it is, Sally goes to work in full medical gloves and mask to serve customers all day, probably needs a hazmat suit to come out from behind the glass. A kid who wants to watch her mother put the money in, until she has confidence to do it herself is a big NO NO for Sally though. Quite the big hypocrite!
Bit annoying being told not to sit in a certain seat whilst trying to keep 3yr old granddaughter entertained in a not to polite manner by a arrogant lady. The wife was a counter dealing with a large and complex transaction at the time which I’d like to add that this lady at counter was very professional and helpful unlike her colleague. Pity I didn’t get any names.
Would be nice if somebody picked up the phone! I've been trying to book in an appointment to see a mortgage advisor to try and arrange my first mortgage all week now, phoned them every day this week, every single time no answer. I'm not filled with confidence over something so simple.
Just been dealt with by the most appauling woman I've ever met. Abrupt, condescending and arrogant. She shouldn't be allowed out in public let alone allowed to deal with the public. Short blonde hair, early 50s, glasses. No name badge...suprise suprise. I have been a Halifax customer for 31 years. I will never use this branch again. A letter of complaint will be winging it's way today.
