The Barber Lounge

Terrible customer service, I was a regular customer but made an appointment for my toddler son. Unfortunately I set off at my usual time 10 mins prior to my appointment and I only live less than 5 minutes away but I didn’t adhere to how long extra it would take bringing a toddler with getting him ready and putting his shoes and coat and getting him into a pushchair then back out of the boot and getting him in and out of the car seat. When I walked into the Barber Lounge I was exactly 2 minutes late and a barber said unfortunately you have missed your appointment and you will have to re-book. When I went to re-book I was unable to because they blocked me. I find it very strange that they treat a disabled person like that for only being 2 minutes late as I didn’t plan Appropriately due to my brain injury and i was taking my toddler son for a haircut. Every other time I’ve been there for my own haircut, I have needed to wait five or 10 minutes in the waiting area if not more sometimes. Obviously they don’t like people with disabilities as they know I was in big accident and suffered a major brain injury So my planning and cognitive issues are not the best. As I said, If I was 10 minutes, or even five minutes late then you’d think they would have a word before blocking me to be able to book in future that’s why I’ve given them one star because obviously they don’t like disabled customers.

Phenomenal again, such a shame that I stopped going here (as a friend of mine opened his own place and I wanted to show support), but the lads in this place are a credit to it, especially Jack who just cut my hair, huge attention to detail, really takes pride in his work and aside from that, just a really nice lad too. I hope that you boss appreciates your work Jack, thank you, best haircut I’ve had in a long time and a great lad too! Was vibe this place 7 stars if I could.

There every month for a lads and dads cut! Never had a bad cut! We use Freddy who is always very friendly 👍

Very unhappy with this business, I have a disability where I suffer memory loss and cognitive disfunction so I struggle with appointments. I used to go there regularly and when I book an appointment then I usually have to wait around 7 days to get in and by the weekend I had forgotten about my appointment on : occasions in a number of years since it opened. But m most times when I arrived they had moved my appointment forward 30 minutes so I often had to wait around for a long time to be seen. Then recently I booked my toddler in for an appointment but I arrived 6 minutes late beyond didn’t estimate how long it would take to get him in there having to take a toddler but when I arrived I was told abruptly that I had missed the appointment and to re book in which I wasn’t happy about because I was less than 10 minutes late. Now when I try to book the app says I am not allowed to book again. I think that is terrible customer service especially for a disabled customer. On top of that you’d only allowed to pay by cash. I have started to use my Turkish barber that I used to use and he does a better cut and cheaper. You can also pay how ever you wish, the only issue though I have to travel 10 minutes to him by car

My husband took my little boy there after a perm disaster at another salon. John was great great with my little one and made his hair look great ready for his school photos tomorrow. He even gave recommendations for him to get his perm next time.
