DHL Express Stockton On Tees

Dreadful. I posted a parcel 4th December which was packed by the lady at DHL. She was told all items were birthday and Christmas gifts for my son. This was not a business transaction. Inside the parcel were two small bars of chocolate. The DHL employee wrote on the inventory that each of these weighed 5kg. In fact she wrote that every item weighed 5kg each - paperback books, resistance bands, every item. Because she stated incorrect weight for the chocolate bars, when the parcel arrived in Bangkok, my son was regarded as an importer of chocolate. His passport was retained and all kinds of paperwork had to be filled in. I had to submit an amended inventory and send pictures of every item shipped and state where it had been bought. We are now at 20th December and the parcel has still not been delivered to my son. This was meant to be an express service with delivery within 5/6 days. This has caused a lot of time being spent by both my son and myself. There is also a possibility of additional charges. All due to the mistakes made by this DHL depot.

You won't believe this. I'm dating this Feb 2025. I had been sent labels by a company to send them an item for repair. Upon getting to DHL I was confronted initially with as it's not your account, we can't accept it without their (the company) say so. I pointed out I was using the labels sent by the company, but that was not accepted. So I get on the phone to the company who tell the DHL guy it's fine for me to drop off. OH NO, that is still no good we need it emailed over. Still on phone, this is arranged and I'm left in reception standing and waiting like a numpty. Some 10 mins later the DHL guy comes back and says the account numbers don't match up. I again point out I have the labels sent to me from the company whose account is it, no good again. Then the ultimate bombshell, the DHL guy then says they will have to open my package for them to inspect. I've been there 15 mins just trying to drop off a parcel. This parcel is a SSD drive in an anti static bag with masses of tight bubble wrap protecting it. So I'm not letting them do it, I furiously open my package and still not getting any farther forward. 20 mins pass, I just pick up my package and walk out. DHL stated to me, that the reason for the delays are new security procedures that have been in place since Jan. Any company using DHL, please take notice of their ridiculous new protocols! Thank you DHL for wasting my time.

I would like to share my experience with DHL at their Thornaby Branch. The lady that served me could not of been more helpful, making the process of sending a parcel to USA so professionally and speedy. Thanks again for your service. Kind regards Mr Kay.

Excellent service from Thornaby Depot, ALL the staff involved were extremely helpful and friendly and would definately recommend this DHL Branch.

Unbelievable that you have to go to 4 DHL send the parcel worldwide stores or depot before anyone will take the parcel First and last time to use them
