I have registered with this GP surgery following a friend’s recommendation and have been very impressed with the service. The reception staff are consistently polite and helpful, while the doctors and nurses demonstrate a high level of professionalism. I particularly value the clear and supportive health advice they provide. I would not hesitate to recommend this practice.
Being disabledicarnt phone early morning due to mobility issues but I've been refused appointment unless I can do tbis which they know i carnt and lump me with all disabbled saying others can well if theycarnt walk they can ring butuntil mymedication takes affect i carnt use my hands and i carnt sleep due to pain so dont getup early as i need help but they refuse to a certain that and refuse me appointment for my daughter whocarnt phone herself due to disabilities I thought this practice wasgetting better. But it ot farfrom it
The pressures, underfunding and staffing issue in the NHS are huge so understandably, it is hard to get an appointment. However, when you see how caring and thorough Dr Chawla and the nurse practitioner are, you know you are in good hands. A thank you to all the medical and reception staff for your help.
I have to say. The reception staff can be unhelpful and rude. You just have to wait your turn if you think not. Sometimes it's like you get incorrect information depending on who you speak to. If you don't push, you'd miss out on what you need. They say don't be rude to staff but have no qualms being rude to you. Our son has a milk allergy and each time we go for his repeat prescription, it takes chasing to get it sighed, and we receive it just before he completely runs out. Last time we ended up without his prescription over the weekend as it wasn't signed for to the pharmacy. Rang reception and went round in circles with language being used to suggest we were lieing about when we could order his prescription. She then said... "I have a headache". To which I responded that's rude, I have a headache too. She responded "I was talking to someone else". Yea, cause I was born yesterday. She hung up on us without any info or empathy on what happens now to our son who's being fed normal milk as we ran out 2 days ago. Will his prescription now be signed as a matter of urgency? Do we wait? What will change next time to avoid this? Did she leave a note as I asked her to so we could track why he never gets his prescription on time? I get we need GP services and can't just go elsewhere as we would in a private business but that doesn't give these ladies the right to be rude, and act so high and mighty but somehow expect that people won't lose it and become rude or aggressive. When you put up signs saying zero tolerance to abuse of our staff, you should put one alongside it saying. "Same applies to you from our staff" Absolutely disgusted and annoyed. I would have lost it if I was there in person. I am always respectful and patient with them but her choice of words really got me breathing faster. Then again, they probably would have been more cordial in person. Over the phone is like online "keyboard warriors" Rude instead of finding solutions. At what point will someone take action that a GP service has such poor rating? Clearly, the patients can't all be lieing.
Rude receptionist and impossible to get an appointment. The receptionist also say very rude things about the patients who just rang and the doctors have slammed the phone down on me and left me without any help. I just rang this morning and was out on hold for 30 minutes and then told I hadn't rang the appointment number. Instead of transfering me or trying to help, the receptionist was very rude and refused to help. I have additional needs and the staff don't know how to talk to someone who might not understand things properly.
