I was diagnosed as a type 2 diabetic and given oral medication. My condition worsened. I was patronisingly told by diabetic nurses that i wasnt taking my medication, wasnt excercising and wasnt eating correctly. I was taking all of the medication prescribed, running, swimming and cycling 7 days per week and eating a keto diet. Still the patronising continued. A diabetic nurse told me that i could easily reverse my type 2 diabetes and that i should go home and eat a pizza! She also told me to approach a medication supplier and lie to them so that they would send me the extra medication that i needed that Woodbridge would not supply. 6 years later after losing a lot of my hair, becoming quite skeletal in appearence and suffering bouts of depression i decided to refer myself to the Diabetic unit at South Cleveland hospital. They carried out tests and told me that i was lucky to be walking through the door and not arriving under a blue light. I was, infact a type 1 diabetic and that my body was producing no insulin at all. I needed to start injecting insulin immediately. Woodbridge had failed to carry out the relevant tests before diagnosis. A few years back my daughter was getting small white spots on her hands. The doctor advised us to go home, heat up a knife over the gas cooker and burn the spots off! Incredible. Another incident was when we could not get my daughters temperature down. This was dismissed by Woodbridge. Soon after we were in A&E ,and she was imediately admitted with severe Sepsis. They have just prescribed my 89 year old mother in law with anti depressants for back pain. This caused her great distress. This practice should be investigated as all of these previous reviews state, the staff are awful and the service is terrible if not dangerous.

Every time I have spoken to a receptionist or attended for an appointment the staff have been really helpful and supportive. Had no issues since switching doctors here and I have overcome my fear of the doctors. So far I’ve seen Dr Gowda, Alison Costello, Gael Watson and Michelle Wells. But all the staff have been incredible and patience.

I write this review after watching a close member of my family try time and again to get an appointment at this practice. If I could leave a review in the minus numbers, I would. It is utterly impossible to get an urgent GP appointment at this practice. I appreciate that the reception staff have their hands tied with what they can offer, as they can't offer what they don't have. However, when a patient needs an urgent referral and is experiencing symptoms that have left them bed-bound and they are offered an appointment in two days time, is this really acceptable? The Practice Manager really needs to be investigating whether or not patient needs are being met, because as it stands in our case, I can say that they are absolutely not. This isn't the first time that this has happened either. If this (and previous encounters leading to delayed care) lead to any harm or detrimental delay in being referred to the appropriate services then I will absolutely be reporting this practice to the CQC for both poor and inadequate care. I sincerely hope, for the sake of our family, that this will not be the case.

Just wanted to say thank you to the receptionist and GP I saw last night 2nd Dec From speaking on the phone to your receptionist she was fantastic and really helpful and understanding. And the GP who phoned me and then saw me urgently when I called in I really appreciated your time and understanding when I felt like I couldn't breathe.
