Funeral Director Joe Johnson told me that the Funeral proceedings for my 92 hear old mother would be perfect and he was correct. From the first meeting to finalising the arrangements to the Funeral itself, everything was perfect. I felt guided and supported by Joe throughout. James Dooley, the Celebrant, managed to distill my suggested points from my mum’s 92 years into a moving, humorous and uplifting tribute. His tone, intonation and clarity were exactly what I had hoped for. I felt that it was just what my mother would have wanted - they did her proud. Thank you. Shirley Bray and family.

A personable and professional service throughout. Every member of the team were polite, considerate and compassionate. Nothing was too much trouble. Joe talked us through everything required and provided sound advice regarding our required arrangements. On the day, the funeral was managed perfectly by Chris. Relphs made a very emotional and challenging time a lot easier and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend their business, not only due to their caring and experienced customer service but also because their pricing was extremely reasonable.

I can say that the funeral director Lisa was very professional kind thoughtful and understanding at this difficult distressing time and she had to deal with quite a few complications pressures and upsets which she dealt with with calm assurance knowledge and confidence. Thanks so much to Julie the Acklam office manager who was from start to finish supportive caring compassionate understanding kind helpful thoughtful, way beyond expectations, I cannot praise her enough. Thanks for all the advice. And I am sorry if at times I relied on your support too much. Thanks also to Cliff Henderson the Celebrant and service orator who organised the funeral speeches and managed the final moments of the service with aplomb professionalism and kindness. Thank you to the drivers and other support staff and people behind the scenes for making everything go smoothly. I would say that the service from Relphs Acklam Middlesbrough branch was outstanding and if I could give more than five stars I would.

I would like to thank Joe Johnson for organising the return of my husbands ashes ( Colin ward) from abroad his dedication and support were exceptional and beyond my expectations his compassion and empathy shown to me through a long ordeal was wonderful I could not thank him enough, also Rachel who was ever so kind and helpful.

A huge Thank you to everyone at Relph Funeral Directors for the exemplary service that provided on the loss of our father ,a special mention to Lisa who was there for my husband and myself right from the start,she is a credit to her profession,her whole manner was one of kindness,consideration, sympathy and respect ,she had a natural way of making you feel like family and not just customers ,this kind of attitude can only come from genuine empathetic people and cannot be faked,nothing was too much trouble for Lisa.When we were unable to have the humanist who performed the service for my late mother-in-laws funeral Lisa recommended a James Dooley who she knew to be just what we needed for the 'type of send off we wanted for our Dad .I have to say he made the service so enjoyable and memorable for all the right reasons.Thank you James .We couldn't have asked for a more kinder,caring,group of people ,the family thank you all at Relphs and cannot recommend this company highly enough .
