Good store and the best WHSmith I've ever seen. The location is perfect. It would be difficult not to find anything you require, as WHSmith is conveniently located near ALL sorts of stores. I found the staff was helpful and cheerful. Sales/Bargains. Always of high quality. Clean.

No wonder stores are struggling, the Parking fines at Teesside park will force me to use different WH Smith stores in the future or just order online. Despite spending £80 in an afternoon I still received £100 invoice for staying longer than 4 hours. Teeside Park and British Land will not reply to my request to cancel. Stay away and spend elsewhere.

Would of give it zero stars if I was aloud, shop is never open at 9am always 10 to 15 minutes after opening time, I always used to go in for morning paper but Senior Member of staff is rude and has attitude problems & she is never helpful. The male who puts the papers out is also rude and very unprofessional. Wouldnt be going to this store again.

I went for 9am, it opened late with no apology and went to cash a scratch card, was told bluntly "we're not paying out as there's not enough money in the till". Absolute rubbish, I know if you sell the lottery you need a minimum amount in the till at all times. Lazy, ignorant staff.

I actually wouldn't even give one star to the experience I have just had within this store. I was waiting to purchase a book and was waiting politely and socially distancing from a customer at the self-service till. A young male "assistant" asked if I would like to come to the till further on. I explained that I couldn't safely pass the customer at the self-service till. He said "suit yourself, wait then". When I did reach him I said I wasn't suiting myself, I was obeying the social distancing rule. He then refused to serve me at all. His female assistant served me instead. He was unnecessarily rude, irresponsible and clearly does not care about his customers safety at this time. I am disgusted and will not be shopping here again, Covid or not.
