We've just received a supply only purchase of a Solidor front door and frame from GFD. Found the website order builder easy to use and when I called the office to double check a few things, the service was excellent. The order took less than two weeks to be delivered and the driver was also as good as the office staff. The Solidor itself is a class product and easy to install. GFD were a bit dearer than another company online but their customer service won me over. Overall, a great experience.

Fantastic customer experience for initial contact all the way through to opening my amazing new front door! Website and online designer was easy to use and I was contacted by the team within 12 hrs of asking for a quote. Being the type of person that likes to get hands on with a product before purchase, I booked to go to the showroom, where I was taken through a very impressive showroom and shown exact what my door would look like and then finalised the design. Only had to pay a very small upfront deposit to secure the design and get the manufacturing process started. The fitting team (Martindale's) made contact within 24 hrs and were at my home within 2 days to take the precise measurements. The fitting team (Martindales) were back in touch super quick to arrange a fitting date (just 5 weeks after initial deposit. They were on time, very professional and efficient, making sure that the house was left clean, undamaged and with a fantastic new door! My house is an old 1840s cottage where ever wall is uneven and there are no straight lines, but the fitters made it perfect, taking their time to get it spot on and making sure I was informed and happy the whole way through. Genuinely, can't recommend GFD more highly - having been let down by other companies previously, it only highlighted to me who uniquely good this company was - and I'll be coming back to get all my windows done next year! Absolutely fantastic service from the beginning with the online ordering to the end fitting, I got my quote then started to liaise with Nick Curwen for the finer details he was brilliant so patient and offered great advice. The survey was fast and efficient again with advice offered, the fitting and correspondence was excellent also much quicker than expected. The door is stunning much better than I expected the fitters where respectful of our property and completed the job to a high standard and cleaned everything and even removed the old door and frame. The design, service and ease of fitting were excellent. The promise of " free nationwide delivery spoiled the experience , as the free delivery does not apply to most of Scotland. Had I been made aware of that, I would not have placed the order.
