Curlew Cottage is situated on Holly House Farm which nestles in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales. Far enough from the hustle and bustle of city life to make it a haven for walkers and lovers of the great English countryside that surrounds it. Yet it is still close enough to Harrogate and Pateley Bridge to take advantage of the cosmopolitan facilities of both places such as fine restaurants and health spas.

Curlew Cottage is a perfect place for a young family or younger couple. Like all of our cottages, it has views over Nidderdale from the front of the property and this one has a seperate lounge and kitchen & dining area combined. The fairly spacious kitchen has the added benefit of a dishwasher to complement the fridge freezer and microwave. That's what we mean about a young family. Kids know how to mess the pots up and the last thing you want on holiday is washing up!

Upstairs there is a great twin room with plenty of space for two kids or adults and a South facing window at the back of the property. The master bedroom has a fun four-poster bed with views over Nidderdale. The centrally heated bathroom contains a full size bath with shower and toilet.

Outside you have a lawn, barbeque area and patio that, again, share the breathtaking view of Nidderdale that has a different character with each season, but never, ever lacks the raw beauty of the Yorkshire Dales.

As with our other cottages, there are no extra charges for electricity or heating and there is a drying and laundry room available for you to use whenever you need it. All of our cottages are now equipped with LCD TVs and DVD players.

Converted from the original dairy buildings, all three cottages are fully equipped with neat kitchens, a dining area, baths with showers, two bedrooms, central heating and much more. We operate a policy of 'pet friendliness.' We have our own dogs, cats and horses and therefore welcome yours, (as long as they know how to behave themselves!)

But our biggest asset is the countryside all around us. Yorkshire is known as 'Gods Own County' for a good reason. Tourist attractions near us include Stump Cross Caverns, Brimham Rocks, Bolton Abbey, Valley Gardens in Harrogate, How Stean Gorge and Harewood House. Take a while to look around this website and we will try to tell you as much as we can about the properties and the surrounding area.
