Relax in our Tea Rooms in the heart of the village of Thornton‐le‐Dale.

You can choose from an array of tempting treats and surround yourself with the quaint charm of our 14th Century building. We pride ourselves by sharing with you some of the best locally homemade produce that Yorkshire has to offer.

Whatever you choose to eat and drink, you can be assured that the majority of produce has come locally from Yorkshire. Whether you have one of our homemade treats, indulge in an afternoon tea, or enjoy a light meal, you can be satisfied that everything here has been homemade using only the best ingredients, often prepared especially for Lavenders.

Our upstairs tables can be booked for lunch, afternoon tea or dinner parties, or why not book the whole upstairs sofa lounge for your corporate function?

We use a majority of local Yorkshire produce in our Tea Room and many of these products are available to buy in our Shop, or Takeaway to enjoy later on your day out or at your holiday location.

We offer a full ​ Takeaway​ service, from freshly‐made high quality sandwiches to savoury treats such as soup, pork pies and sausage rolls. We also offer a daily selection of fresh cakes and patisserie products, scones and cakes. You can also choose from a selection of breads, bread rolls and tea cakes available most days. In addition, we also offer a full range of teas, coffees and cold drinks to take out, and of course traditional ice cream in tubs and cones.

The ​ Shop​ is supplied by a comprehensive range of quality producers who have been carefully selected for their excellent reputation for producing fine foods. Many of these companies are local and Yorkshire based.
