Stoney End Cottage, Wensleydale

Brilliant little cottage, perfect for a little family getaway. The owners provided everything needed and where available if needed. The views are spectacular and the walks around the area wonderful. Closest convenient stores we could find was 20 minutes away and there's plenty of pubs within walking distance. Thanks again, my daughter is already asking to return.

We stayed at Stoney End for 4 nights and wish we could have stayed longer. We had our four year old and 6 week old girls. Absolutely loved our stay and included the hot tub which was 100% worth it. The weather was wet for the week but with the hot tub and wood burner we just had the perfect time. The cottage is beautiful, clean and had everything we needed. There are plenty of shops nearby with a shop and chip shop in Hawes. There are plenty of beautiful walks around the area. Our favourite was our visit to the forbidden corner which was great was all ages! If you are looking for a warm, comfortable and relaxing stay I would highly recommend Stoney End!

In a word EXCELLENT. We had the downstairs room with our own private hot tub. Very relaxing after a long day out and about in the dale. All fueled by the absolutely delicious and filling breakfasts. Everything you would need for your stay is provided and at the highest standards. We will be back and have already recommended to family and friends

Stayed here for two nights with my daughter and we absolutely loved it. Pamela is the perfect host. She made us feel really welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The room (wensleydale) we stayed in was perfect in every way. Pamela has thought of everything! Will definitely be returning soon. Such a warm and homely place that is extremely well run. We adore this cottage! From the very comfy beds (The White Company linen) to the top quality cooking utensils, this really is a home from home. Perfect location to explore the beautiful Yorkshire Dales, Gods country after all. Askrigg which is only a 4 minute drive is quaint with a handful of pubs, a lovely deli, convenience store etc. The Kings Arms was a bit of a favourite! Also enjoyed fish and chips from the van that visits the village on a wednesday afternoon/evening. What a treat. Pamela, the owner, is lovely and welcoming and has thought of literally everything that's needed for a self catering holiday. The hot tub is an added bonus, and we were lucky enough to see a resident barn owl gracing the skies during our stay. What a sight! Just to top off the amazing views. This is our second stay with our 2 little terriers and will defintely be booking again, hopefully in the not too distant future. Thanks again!
