The shepherds hut had everything you needed for a few nights stay. It was clean, tidy and had great countryside views. We made great use of the hot tub, fire and bbq (they really made the stay). The location was great within driving distance of York, some lovely beaches and some great local towns. With the addition of the portable fence / gate you can make the area secure for dogs. Overall we had a lovely weekend - thank you!
Lovely shepherd’s hut in a quiet, peaceful spot next to open fields. The dark skies were perfect for stargazing from the hot tub. The hut had modern fixtures, a powerful hot shower, and the log burner kept it cosy all night. The host was kind and very helpful. Highly recommend!
This was our second stay at Pheasants Roost and it was just as perfect as the first. Pauline is such a wonderful host, she remembered us from last year. Pauline is just a genuinely lovely person, nothing is a trouble and we are grateful for the lovely words and memories she shared with us of our sausage dog who passed this year. He loved this place and so do we. See again soon. Thank you!
Wonderful long weekend with a very nice hot tub. We stayed in the Pheasants Roost for 2 nights and had a great time, the weather was in our favour and the area is really nice with lots to see which we didn't get time to see everything but nonetheless we both enjoyed our stay here. Thank you to Pauline & Jim for making our stay memorable, you're both lovely people and it was great to meet you both. Last but not least, we would never have heard of Pheasants Roost if it wasn't for Luke who gifted us a couple of nights stay at this wondaful hut for our wedding, so thank you Luke. We would 100% recommend staying here for a long weekend or even a getaway during the week. Will definitely be back in the future. :) Xanthe + Shaz
Really lovely stay at Pheasants Roost. The hut is very warm and cosy with a comfy bed. Lovely hot tub. Great setting and location near to lots of places to visit. The hosts were really lovely as well ☺️
