Rose Cottage

Five star break home from home cottage with everything you need hot tub was amazing especially after a long day walking or exploring. Location off the A64 was brilliant. It was clean warm and a friendly welcome. Our dog thoroughly enjoyed all the walking too. We are looking when we can book our next visit in. Worth every penny.

We hired Rose Cottage (has enclosed little garden so our dog could come and go as she wanted) and Pheasant's Roost. The gorgeous shepherd's hut is in the field to the side of the cottage. It is a decent distance away and screened off, so that my daughter and her boyfriend could enjoy a parallel holiday. Gave us the flexibility to all be together but also apart. Both were very clean, thoughtfully stocked and really comfortable. The photos don't do it any justice. There's clear allocated parking and the location is great for day trips to the coast and also close to Flamingo Land. Pauline was just lovely! Great communication during booking and throughout our stay. A very friendly lady, recommended some pretty dog walks and nothing was too much trouble. Hot tubs were excellent! Robes were a nice touch. Beautiful and quiet with superb view of the fields. Sunset was so pretty and the stars from the hot tub was a lovely way to unwind from the day. Pauline messaged to say the property was available earlier if we wanted and she also extended our check out time (as no guests were due). Great hospitality! We visited Eden Camp (to dodge the showers) and were pleasantly surprised that dogs were allowed. Has a nice little cafe. We also booked an escape room in Scarborough, where again our dog was welcome to join us (take a bowl and staff happy to supply water). We will definitely be returning! A wonderful home from home accommodation and a fabulous host. Thank you for having us Pauline!

Lovely base for our Yorkshire holiday 😊 very clean and tidy with a lovely enclosed garden. The host was very welcoming and any questions we had were answered and help offered where needed. On our arrival it was a pleasant surprise to find some complimentary tea, coffee, fresh milk and biscuits ( even my gluten free allergy was catered for!) we will definitely be back for when we explore more of the beautiful surroundings that this cottage offers 😊

This was our first time staying here and we were not disappointed. Pauline greeted us and made us feel very welcome. The cottage was beautiful and very clean. Comfortable for 2 adults and 2 children (11, 15) Robes were provided which was nice. Beds were comfortable. We paid extra to have use of the hot tub which was worth it. The cottage is ideally situated for visits go Flamingoland, Whitby and Scarborough. We would definitely recommend staying here.

Spotted on Facebook I thought this cottage would be absolutely perfect for myself, husband and our dog Booked it for my husbands birthday and it was absolutely spot on Both Pauline and Jim were very welcoming and answered any questions/queries we had within minutes Perfect base for visiting the coast and other places of interest The cottage itself is very cosy and warm Shower is brilliant and the hot tub well that was the icing on the cake I would highly recommend visiting this beautiful little cottage
