It’s a charming village pub. The food is really good. Obviously at busier times it can be slow so factor that in when you go or book in advance. Nice beer garden. Good selection of drinks.

Tasty food at a great price. I always love coming here for dinner as the portions are food and it’s hearty pub grub. They do Sunday roasts all week. Sometimes the pub can be a bit rowdy to eat in with locals having pints but on the whole a great place to eat.

Started off with being ignored at the bar, and intentionally ignoring. Put on a table with mucky plates and food all over the table. Then the meals.... shocking. Fish batter was like snot, mushy peas I could of build a house with the gear, and for the chips... well here's a picture. Mrs got new York chicken, looks and tasted microwaved. Never going back again. £45 wasted. Not happy 👎

Booked a table myself and sister. The menu's were quite extensive. We picked the seniors two cource for £10. This was great value. I picked shepherd's pie my sister Sunday lunch. Both portions were good size. Sunday lunch came with extra veg. You could swop pudding for coffee, which I did. Great value and service Would definitely go again. If you're out this way definitely worth calling in. We went from york Been for a second time June 29. Same great value. Had Sunday dinner, sister had scampi both had latte extra hot .

Fantastic service and very accommodating when I was booking due to some changes with the group size . Great Sunday lunch and great service from the team as it was my mums birthday the team brought the cake to the table a great surprise - very well recommended and will be back in the future
