We were driving from Edinburgh on our way to France, fully loaded with kids and bags, ferry booked etc when a warning light came on in our car. We were quite concerned due to the level of driving involved for the rest of our holiday which was just beginning. It was a Friday afternoon and we phoned a few other local places who cut us off immediately saying they were too busy to help us. We called SMR and the guy who took the call and then ultimately helped us was fantastic. He gave us directions how to get to him, did the plug in thing where they identify the fault and was able to talk us through what it was saying and reassure us it was nothing which needed immediate attention. He refused to take any payment for his help either. If he was local to us, he'd become our new garage. We would heartily recommend him due to his knowledge and his helpfulness.
