Small family get together on Sunday, we ordered drinks but then there was rather a long wait for the food, and there was only one other couple in there. We ordered 2 Vegan Sunday lunches these came out first and they were quite shocked with the little food on there plates, they couldn’t have the carrots as there was butter in them or the Yorkshire puddings so there was the nut roast,2 roast potatoes,2 sprouts and some tender stem broccoli & gravy and that was it,however they did enjoy the nut roast,it was a good 5 minutes before the rest of the food came out. The rest of us had turkey, ham & chicken roast dinner, and a hunters chicken burger,& a side order of cauliflower cheese, which was an extra £2.50 & again a tiny portion 2 pieces of cauliflower with cheese on. The portions were also tiny,2 roast potatoes,2 sprouts,1 tablespoon of mashed carrots,1 tablespoon of kale and a Yorkshire pudding,& gravy, not enough I had to ask for more gravy.A tiny portion of ham,the turkey was cold and the chicken breast was tiny,it was really gristly and poor quality obviously bought from Aldi or Lidl just down the road,as the chicken breasts that I buy in the butchers are much bigger. The Yorkshire pudding was almost as big as the portions on the plate, however they were good. The hunters chicken burger was ok & served with french fries. Sunday lunches were £ 13.50 and for the amount and quality of the food it was poor. The ham was good but not much of it,I think I put more on a ham sandwich. We ordered 2 puddings,1 small vegan tart & a chocolate fudge cake which were good. The service from the two lady’s was lovely & friendly & this is a cosy little place, but some of the quality the food was poor & the quantity was ridiculous.

We chanced upon this cosy bar/restaurant as it was the first time visiting the area & so glad we did. We were greeted with a warm & friendly welcome from the lady (owner) from behind the bar & decided upon a few dishes from the menu & the beef brisket special which was a highlight, it was melt in the mouth deliciousness, in fact all of the dishes we had were well presented & very tasty! They were better than some of the tapas we experienced in Barcelona we had a few weeks ago. Would highly recommend.

Myself and my partner made a last minute booking based on reviews. Happy that we did. The atmosphere is very relaxed in the bar area, the friendly lady I spoke to on the phone booking, advised that a large party had booked upstairs and we’d probably be more relaxed in the bar area. Nice advice. Food was really well seasoned and hot and fresh, (we had a Sunday roast with beef). My only slight gripe is there wasn’t much beef on the plate. All was lovely and the wine by the glass was really nice. Overall we were happy with our first visit and will definitely return.

This place is an absolute gem!! So friendly and welcoming and the cocktails were amazing according to my wife! Sat outside under the gazebo, we only ordered the first cocktail by name, the rest I asked them to surprise us with and they didn't let us down! Definitely will become a firm favourite, can't wait to try the food 😍🍺🍹🍸❤️

We came for some tapas and we’re not disappointed! Food was so good! Especially the salt and pepper chicken and the patatas bravas. Staff were so friendly and made us very comfortable. Drinks were great too. Atmosphere was very relaxed and there was nice calm music playing. Highly reccomend.
