Visited a few times over the years. Went for lunch today and was reminded how great it is. It must be one of the best views from a pub. We took my elderley father and they allowed us to move tables when one by the window became available. This meant a lot to my Dad who loved his chicken burger and the countryside views. All the food is excellent, the vocation beer on tap was tast too. Such welcoming staff make this such a top place.
Very friendly staff and great service, we had the sharing board for Sunday lunch, wow it was amazing and very good value, booking ahead advised. Stunning views from a lovely beer garden, we'll definitely be going back, nice to see s pub busy, a little lick of paint here and there to freshen it up but not to take away character and traditional features
We had the Yorkshire pudding wraps and it was absolutely amazing! Fantastic value for money and so worth it we really enjoyed. The actual pub could do with a little bit of a face lift I don’t think it would have been as nice if we didn’t sit outside and enjoyed the views.
I vsited a friend in Todmorden today and she suggested lunch at this place. We walked from town to work up an appetite (about 25 mins). Really warm welcome (for us and the dog). Good selection of drinks (including non alcoholic options) and the menu had gluten free options (there's even a menu of doggy meals). I had gammon, egg and chunky homemade chips - it was delicious! My friend had an amazing sandwich in gluten free bread, and the dog had a sausage, which he loved. 100% recommend.
Had a wonderful Sunday lunch for family and friends. The food was delicious, the selection was fantastic and more than reasonably priced. This idyllic pub was set in a picturesque setting with panoramic countryside views and scenic walks to be had.
