Bombay Lounge

I came on the busiest day of the week on Friday, at the busiest time of the day and was shocked to find only 2 tables, i thought why could this be, i found out very quickly. Firstly the decor is nice but parts of it is a bit outdated and somethings are badly damaged and need replacing but this is no issue really. The first issue was that there was dirty plates, dirty cutlery, and dirty glasses. Nothing had been cleaned properly, made me want to leave very quickly. We did end up leaving after eating the starters and cancelling the main course. The next issue is the lack of staff, only 1 waiter running the entire show. The manager sat there the whole time making the young lad do everything, this is just very bad. The next issue is the food, the starters we got the chicken tikka was like rubber, most likely from being old and not fresh. The sheek kebabs were exactly the same. The onion bhaji's was half ok but left a bad taste in mouth afterwards, my drink i took maybe 2 sips and gave it to my friend as the glass was so dirty there was things floating in it. At that point i got up and cancelled the main course, paid for what we had and left. This place could be very busy if anyone cared about it, but it seems no one does. Sort it out it has a lot of potential, theres only 1 other indian restuarant in the area, no competition, should not only have 2 tables on the busiest day of the week. Sort your problems out i said and watch how good it will be.

Placed a order from Bombay Lounge consisting of a £7.95 tray of donner meat, 1 naan and 1 portion of chips along with a mixed kebab on naan meal which comes served with chips and two cans of pop. Received a quarter tray of donner meat with the rest of the tray filled with chips, 3 separate portions of chips, one which we assume was part of the mixed kebab meal. Total price £26.13 The food was absolutely disgusting. The lamb was tough and grisly, the chicken looked and tasted like it came out of a precooked supermarket packet. Both of the naan had no charing and looked and tasted as though they had both been microwaved. The chips and donner were greasy and cold. Again absolutely disgusting. Instantly felt sick after taking just a bite. Food went straight in the bin. Google Reviews requires me to give at least one star to submit this review however I would have liked to give it zero stars!! I would NOT recommend! AVOID!!

Absolutely fantastic curry and naan, couldn’t have asked for a better chicken madras! Those samosas are insane! Thank you! Will be ordering again!

First time ive visited today but i will definitley be back, the food was lovely and very reasonably priced.

Went on a monday night and we were the only ones there, staff were brilliant, food was very tasty , small portions but tasty
