Every so often you go somewhere and have such a great experience that you actively want to leave a review to make sure the staff read how great they were. This is one of those moments! We booked for a table of 8 people for dinner on a saturday night. We were greeted with friendly faces in a warm and cosy pub, the service was excellent, the red head and young lad were fab and made sure we had everything we needed. The food was incredible and came out in great time. Vegan options were brilliant!! The jam roly poly was 10/10! Well done chefs. Its so nice (and rare) to come across a place that exceeds every area to rate! If we're ever back in Todmorden we will 1000% be back. Thank you!
We came for a special birthday meal and the food was amazingly delicious 😋😋😋 staff were lovely and we didn't wait long even though they were very busy. The beef I had melted in my mouth I scraped the plate clean. The special starter and main for £24 is fantastic value for money and the portions were on the large side. Lovely hotel, friendly atmosphere and we had a brilliant time.
Actually the best welcome ever! When arriving soaked to the skin in any place with one’s bike, many places won’t really much want you in their establishment.. (maybe understandably) but at the Staff of Life, the women we met were adorably hospitable and helpful. We’d missed the kitchen so we fueled on bar snacks and delicious tea by their fire, and we dried off. The locals were also very friendly and came to chat. Really grateful for the place to stop and recoup somewhat and for a safe place to store our bikes while we did. This is a real pub with the kind of atmosphere and warmth set by genuine kind people. More than anything, thank you ! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Perfect location for us, amazing staff very friendly check everything is satisfactory just enough not too much, and delicious food melt in the mouth tomatoes, stake full of herby flavours the best we've had in years. My partners 2nd to best since been in the UK, but he's from Canada so hard to beat..
Lovely place, massive main courses and all food high quality. Young staff who were all very friendly and efficient. Great selection of real ales available too!
