My family and I have been a part of Grace Church Wakefield for around 7 years now and we're so thankful to be part of this church family. The Bible is taught truthfully and simply at Sunday services and at other points during the week too. Members of the church try to be friendly, loving and welcoming to new people and there are a number of things on during the week/through the year for the local community (baby toddler groups, youth groups, holiday clubs, fun days etc.). Our children love church and the church make sure to include them and provide things for them to help them learn and have a good time while they're there too. You dont have to worry about them making too much noise etc. which is really nice as they're valued too. It's a lovely place to be on a Sunday morning (people are genuinely happy to be there and genuinely love each other) and it's a great church to be a part of or to come along to if you just have questions or want to explore the Christian faith.
While most of the kids were well behaved, there were two kids with their mum who were misbehaving constantly sat right behind me. When I enter a place of worship I don't want to be put in a negative head space by unruly misbehaving kids taking my focus away from worship. It's the reason why I embarked on finding a different church in the first place. I had received a very warm welcome, and some of the people I had encountered were lovely, but sadly it's just that the two misbehaving children spoilt my experience which made me feel disappointed when I left. If anyone knows of a church in the Wakefield area that hasn't the huge potential to be terrorised by unruly children, then let me know, unfortunately Grace Church isn't it
Friendly, welcoming and good teaching from the Bible. I love going to Grace Church.
Very friendly and welcoming
A wonderful church led by an equally wonderful pastor. Bible-based, evangelical church
