Due to an on going desperately unpleasant situation I needed support both physical and psychological. I tried many charities and the police but was turned away from each. As a gay man I have more than once been turned away from the church, both Catholic and other, so it was in absolute desperation I turned to this Church. I was met with kindness and friendliness. That alone was an enormous relief. Plus the fact they were the only church of any denomination to answer my cry for help in the Wakefield area for me says a lot. Thank you, it may not have been much for you, but it was for me.
Church is not a building, church is people. In hire is wonderful people..
Most welcoming community and wonderful parish priest; providing daily Mass, thought provoking sermons, uplifting liturgies and a varety of communal activities to suit all age groups.
