MPL Locksmith Training

Just completed the 5 day course to be a locksmith. 1 word Amazing!!!! The tutor was great. Had a great balance of making it fun while learning. I learnt so much over the 5 days. I feel confident to just get started. I love that they help you start up your buisiness and are there to help you with a 24/7 helpline. The staff was all kind and looked after us the whole duration of the course. Thank you again!!!

I did the 5 day City & Guilds locksmith course at MPL in January. I went from knowing hardly anything to being able to set up my own operation and it's been going well ever since. The class sizec as small so you got plenty of one on one time with the tutors, the ladies who sort all the admin and enquiries were very friendly and excellent at what they do getting all your certificates and start up tools organised. I booked 2 weeks ago and paid the 20% to secure a place in February 2026 for the locksmith 5 day course. Due to unforeseen circumstances, I got made redundant from my role, as you can imagine, with a small family I was panicking. I wasn't accepted for their repayment plan so I was founding this course on my own. When I contacted Jackie to explain this the only option I was given was to rebook a different date rather than cancel. I expressed I can not do that as now I don't know when I will be employed again to then make sure I get the money together for the course. They did offer me a 30% refund however, I gave more than enough notice 5 months and that is all they could offer. My wife then called to explain our circumstances to see if there was anything more they could do. Due to my mental health I am really struggling to have the energy to deal with all this as I am the person in our household to pay our bills. I understand that I wouldn't be able to get all my money back but atleast a little more due to the amount of time given as notice and for my circumstances. Jackie said she was the decision maker on this and 30% was more than enough. She was not empathetic towards my wife and our circumstances. All I will say is, if you book in this course and anything outside of your power goes wrong e.g. lose your job or a family emergency, they will not have any empathy and give hardly any compensation back for the hard earned money you have paid them. It's such a shame as there reviews is what made me want to book with them. Clearly I was mistaken. In the current economic climate they are just another company wanting your money and keeping it for doing the bare minimum. Even with holidays if you give enough notice you get compensated refunds depending on the notice period. Such a shame

The training course was one of the best our team has ever attended. Providing excellent materials, expert advice and tutoring. We would highly recommend this course to anyone looking to become a locksmith. 5 Star MPL.
